The Baton Rouge Convention & Visitors Bureau sought to provide visitors with a more engaging and accessible way to discover local attractions, events, dining, entertainment, and cultural experiences. While travelers increasingly rely on digital tools for trip planning and destination discovery, traditional visitor information resources offered limited opportunities for personalized engagement and measurable visitor insights.

 

The organization needed a solution that could provide visitors with real-time destination information, promote local tourism partners, and deliver valuable analytics to better understand visitor interests and behavior. Additionally, Baton Rouge wanted to extend destination engagement into key community attractions, creating additional opportunities for visitors to connect with the destination during their stay.

La solution

TrueOmni deployed an interactive visitor engagement platform anchored by a 43″ standing indoor kiosk designed to provide visitors with self-service access to destination information and trip-planning resources. 

 

The solution was designed to:

  • Provide visitors with interactive maps and wayfinding tools to explore Baton Rouge’s attractions, restaurants, entertainment districts, and points of interest.
  • Deliver current event information and destination content to help travelers discover activities happening throughout the city.
  • Enable visitors to build personalized itineraries based on their interests and available time.
  • Promote local businesses, attractions, and tourism partners through a dynamic advertising platform.
  • Capture valuable engagement data and visitor insights through kiosk analytics and reporting.
  • Extend destination information into key visitor attractions, including the Botanical Gardens, creating additional touchpoints for destination discovery.

The Impact

The addition of a second kiosk at the Botanical Gardens expanded the reach of the visitor engagement network, creating another opportunity to inspire visitors and promote local tourism assets. At the same time, the analytics platform provides valuable insights into visitor interests, content engagement, and destination trends, helping the Baton Rouge Convention & Visitors Bureau make more informed marketing and visitor experience decisions.
