Challenge

The Baton Rouge Convention & Visitors Bureau sought to provide visitors with a more engaging and accessible way to discover local attractions, events, dining, entertainment, and cultural experiences. While travelers increasingly rely on digital tools for trip planning and destination discovery, traditional visitor information resources offered limited opportunities for personalized engagement and measurable visitor insights.

The organization needed a solution that could provide visitors with real-time destination information, promote local tourism partners, and deliver valuable analytics to better understand visitor interests and behavior. Baton Rouge also wanted to extend destination engagement into key community attractions, creating additional opportunities for visitors to connect with the destination during their stay.

Solution

TrueOmni deployed an interactive visitor engagement platform anchored by a 49″ outdoor kiosk, giving visitors self-service access to destination information and trip-planning resources, with a second kiosk extending the network into the Botanical Gardens.

The solution was designed to:

Interactive maps & wayfinding Real-time event information AI itinerary builder Partner advertising platform Kiosk analytics & reporting Botanical Gardens touchpoint Self-service discovery

The deployment enhanced Baton Rouge’s ability to connect visitors with the experiences, attractions, and businesses that make the destination unique. Through interactive self-service technology, travelers can now easily access information, discover events, and build customized itineraries that encourage deeper exploration of the city.

The addition of a second kiosk at the Botanical Gardens expanded the reach of the visitor engagement network, creating another opportunity to inspire visitors and promote local tourism assets. At the same time, the analytics platform provides valuable insights into visitor interests, content engagement, and destination trends, helping the Baton Rouge Convention & Visitors Bureau make more informed marketing and visitor experience decisions.
